Richard Dattner

 

Richard founded Dattner Architects in 1964, setting the tone for a practice distinguished by an unwavering commitment to civic architecture, urban engagement, and inspiring design at all scales. He served as Vice President of the AIA New York Chapter and was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Chapter. He also received the Thomas Jefferson Award from the American Institute of Architects in recognition of his significant contributions to public architecture. He is the author of Design for Play and Civil Architecture–The New Public Infrastructure.
