As one of the world’s multicultural epicenters for arts, culture, design, and business, Pratt Institute, the Polish Cultural Institute, and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C. presented Project Hurrah! An urban musical instrument created to play and interact with, Project Hurrah! captured and commemorated positive emotions that connect Poles and Americans through music.
The installation took the form of a large-scale xylophone composed of vertical tubes. When tapped consecutively with a drumstick, the tubes play the Polish birthday and anniversary song, Sto Lat.
