Born in Rome in 1970, Achille Salvagni graduated with an honors degree in architecture in 1998, and became a member of the National Registered Architects Association in Rome in 1999. He then spent a year studying in Sweden at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
A timeless yet unique style distinguishes the Salvagni Atelier, a place where creativity meets craftsmanship in the design and execution of unique spaces and pieces of bespoke furniture with a “couturier” attitude.
In 2002, he created SalvagniArchitetti, a multidisciplinary firm for architecture and interior design, developing projects for residential buildings, luxury apartments and yachts. His work has been published all over the world. Prominent US projects include homes in Palm Beach, the Hamptons, and a gut renovation of an Upper East Side Manhattan townhouse.
Salvagni’s creations possess a timeless quality, in his use of fine materials such as lacquered fiberglass, bronze, and onyx, to achieve modern yet classic designs. His genius lies in his ability to fully comprehend the past and to create new works, fully assimilating the essence of the Fifties designer in a totally contemporary style.
Today Achille Salvagni leads a studio with eleven highly qualified designers who share in his continuous quest for excellence in design. Maison Gerard exclusively introduced his furniture and lighting designs in Spring 2013.
