She challenges and transforms Latvian ancient hand-weaving ornaments and unique Latvian patterns by adding to innovative luxurious natural yarns and threads from across the world, thus gaining revolutionary structures and visual identity textures in ARS TELA textiles in what today can be coined as a contemporary Latvian Interior and Accessory Textiles.
Alvida Klinge as a new generation designer visionary believes that sustainable Latvian Textile Design can be supported by a masterful interaction of many generations of hand-weavers, young Art Designers and other craftspeople, who pass their values and trade skills from one to another. ARS TELA is a modern management company who employs around 25 experienced craftspeople, frrom ages 18-84, for many providing an opportunity to hand-weave from various home locations in rural Latvian regions and surrounds.
