Anita Cooney is the inaugural Dean of Design at Pratt Institute. Previously, she was chair of Interior Design, and has also been a professor in the School of Architecture at Pratt.  An architect, designer, and artist based in New York City, she was a co-founder of AC2, a multidisciplinary design studio, whose notable works included commercial and residential interiors as well as product design. She is currently the principal of acoo design. She is regular participant of and serves on the board  of DesignInquiry, a transdiciplinary educational organization devoted to researching design issues in intensive team-based gatherings. Her work has been published in Interior Design and ID as well as several design annuals. Her work explores the quotidian in materials and details.
