Inspired by his fascination with designers and their original product ideas and his passion to bring Dutch design to North America, Jan van der Lande founded Kikkerland in NYC in 1992. Since starting the company nearly 25 years ago, Kikkerland has expanded internationally, opening a sales office in Rotterdam in 2009 and an office in Hong Kong in 2010. Their world accessible online shop opened in 2010 and in 2013 the flagship Kikkerland Shop NYC opened in the heart of the West Village. He's worked with NYC based designers including David Weeks and Milton Glaser.
