Sebastian Gier is a Designer from Germany currently working at BMW Group on the future of mobility experiences as a Senior Designer in Design Strategy and User Experience. Prior to that he gained work experience in Sweden, Chicago, Los Angeles, Shanghai and worked with various international brands like Bosch, Siemens, John Deere, MINI, Cathey Pacific, Rolce-Royce, Newell and Midea. His work has been recognised by internationally renowned design institutions like the Core77 Design Awards, Red Dot, IDA, IXDA, Indigo, SPARK Design Awards or Industrial Design Excellence Awards (IDEA - Industrial Design Society of America) and others. He is also the founder and host of Designdrives.org where he talks to progressive design leaders from around to world to explore why, how and what design drives forward - in order to inspire designers to use their abilities to make a positive contribution to the world. He often speaks at international design conferences about design, product innovation and the impact of design - most recently in Shanghai, Istanbul and Berlin.
